We have recently started ready The Mines Afire as a class book and we are now doing comprehension questions. We had to think about the things that we would miss if we lived in 1896.

For the past two days we have been reading historical notes about the brunner mine disaster in 1896.
We are going to soon be reading The Mines Afire story and we a reading the historical notes about it for some basic knowledge.

For this task it was individual and we had too search up how Denniston Coal Mines got popular or how many people died or something like that. I liked the font I chose. I think its a nice touch

I recommend this for seven and any ages above from seven.

We got our ideas from Earth Picker. You had to find the place on the map in the top right corner. Earth Picker has 5 rounds and in those 5 rounds you got to choose one of the places and out of 5 or 10 rounds I chose The Galapagos Islands. Here is the link. Earth Picker.
